STOP-TB Partnership Korea held “The 4th Night of Harmony for the Partners”



The Korean National Tuberculosis Association (Chairman Man Ho Kyung) held “The 4th Night of Harmony for the Partners” at the Federation of Korean Industries in Yeouido on November 23.

The purpose of this event is to inform the role and annual activities of STOP-TB Partnership to support domestic tuberculosis vulnerable class and global tuberculosis eradication and to encourage our partners to participate more consistently and build partnerships.

For this event, about forty partners, including congressmen and businesses, public institutions, civil society, and organizations related to tuberculosis attended.





Awards ceremony of excellent partners, a ‘Socio-Drama’ about patients’ experience, and a donation event were held.

Kim Myung-yeon, a Chairman of the Stop-TB Cooperation Committee and a congressman said “The government, the National Assembly, civil society and private companies should focus on ways to eliminate tuberculosis for SDGs.”

Man-ho Kyung, a Chairman of the Korean National Tuberculosis Association said “the number of tuberculosis patients has decreased recently but there are still 30,000 new TB cases every year, and more than 2,000 people die from the disease. If STOP-TB Partnership Korea establishes the networks among organizations and civil society, it will greatly benefit the nation's tuberculosis management.”

Through this event, the Korean National Tuberculosis Association announced the necessity of joining STOP-TB Partnership to potential partners.
