Seminar for Global TB Strategy to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

As a follow-up to the 2016 National Assembly seminar, Stop TB Partnership KOREA will hold an experts seminar on the theme of "Global Strategy for Tackling Tuberculosis and Countries' Efforts". At the seminar, experts from inside and outside of the country will share strategies and efforts to combat TB among various countries to ultimately achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs) and discuss mutual cooperation.

The main goal is to strengthen cooperation between domestic and foreign partners for the elimination of tuberculosis and to promote the role of the Republic of Korea in meeting the goals of sustainable development for fighting TB on a global level.

It is anticipated that this seminar will facilitate an active discussion of each country’s strategies and experiences to achieve global elimination of TB aligned with the SDGs and result in more concrete future action plans. Also, Korea and the Korea Tuberculosis Association will set a starting point to move forward as an active member of global fight against TB.
