Stop TB Partnership KOREA. Leading the fight against TB. A partnership hosted by UNOPS

The 2017 "Lung Tree Care Campaign" will be held by Stop TB Partnership KOREA to promote the public's knowledge of prevention of tuberculosis and to support the TB-vulnerable strata.

On August 17th, as the part of the "Lung Tree Care Campaign," we held "One time real-time online lecture on TB" and "Distance promotion campaign".

"Real-time online lecture" was taught in detail by Dr. Dae-Yeon Kim of National Masan Hospital on the issue of "Trend of TB treatment." He mentioned that as TB was born with the birth of mankind, the treatment has changed in various ways through time. Dr. Kim has stressed that "it is important to understand the implication of this disease exactly before practicing treatments." This year in particular, the online real-time lecture was enlivened with more than 80 youths from the "Youth and Multicultural International Volunteer Corps" attending it.

In addition, the "Youth and Multicultural International Volunteer Corps" gave hope and courage to patients fighting TB in the National Masan Hospital through a variety of performances including Korean traditional dance.

In the afternoon, we organized a publicity campaign for residents in the Masan Station area along with the youths of the Korean National Tuberculosis Association Ulsan and Gyeongnam Branches, the National Masan Hospital, and the Youth and Multicultural International Volunteer Corps.

The street promotion campaign was centered on instant OX quizzes and the distribution of anti-tuberculosis promotional materials. The tuberculosis prevention cough dance by the youths of Youth and Multicultural International Volunteers drew citizens' applause.
The Korean National Tuberculosis Association would like to express sincere gratitude to the youths of Youth and Multicultural International Volunteers who participated in the concert performances, real-time online lectures, and street promotion campaigns at the National Masan Hospital.

Lung Tree Care Campaign will continue in 2017 in your warm encouragements.
